Just been pondering about my recently unreliable 2nd gear in the mpi. Would it be possible to take the gearbox from my redundant 1275gt and stick it on my mpi? Obviously I’d give the box a once over beforehand and rebuild it if need be. The only reason this intrigues me is because of the GT’s short ratio.

Cheers

you will also need to use the transfer case and drop gears from the GT as the idler is different.

Just rebuild the MPI box..? Is 2nd gear crunching or jumping out?

Rebuild the mpi box and change the FD to something better.
