Unless I'm being thick I can't find anyone with a 998 Primary Gear Shim in stock measuring 0.120 - 0.122" so wondering if anyone on here has one I could buy.

Cheers

Hi Pal..

The thickest I have is 0.114, you may need to look at changing your retaining ring and C clip, as most Engin builders will take any tension in the primary gear away by taking  material from this part,

look at getting a new ring and C clip, I have one if needed.

Regards

Rick

Cheers mate, think I will have to look into getting a new c clip and ring then as even with the thickest shim it'll still be at the top of the range. Think I'll buy them gen new as they are only peanuts but thanks for looking.

As said if you get the backing ring and retaining clip from MS, the backing ring is 0.002 thicker which will help in setting up your endfloat.
