So, I have a new cat, new sensors, air intake, lambda, MAP, crank, coolant and 2 brand new injectors from minispares (sorry Alexmozza).

 

I have lapped the valves in and smoke tested the inlet to check for air leaks, none visible.

 

I've done a leakdown test and it is leaking down the bores.

 

All I need to do now is take it back for a retest.

No, not honed the bores.

 

I'm actually giving up on it as it is. I needed the french MOT so that I could get the log book in my name. No MOT here in france and you can't get the car in your name !

 

When there is a problem with the car during an MOT, you can sometimes get a 2 month provisional one, gives you time to fix the car. I managed to get the car in my name with the provisional MOT.

 

I will now pull the car appart again and continue the restoration. Hopefully when everything is finished, engine too, it will pass it's emisions test.
