A couple of weeks ago I posted saying that I had a new fibre washer fitted by someone as it was missing. The diff was really stiff to turn. The washer was the thinnest one available. Today upon dismantling I noticed that when the crown wheel bolts were just slackened off it spun freely. Anyway, I have just taken it to bits, is there anything missing or am I just going to have to get a thin fibre washer from somewhere else?????

The one on the right is the original, one on the left is apparently a new 35thou but like I say with that fitted and the bolts done up the diff is solid. If I slacken the bolts then it spins easily

Yes retroman indeed. It was only a tiny piece but enough to stop it all when tight
