Thinking of installing a inline fuel filter on my 1990 998cc Mini. It has a HS4 carb. Where would be the best place to mount it? Thanks for your help.

You could always go for the imjection Mini set up on the rear subframe.

Don't by the Mini filter though the bolted connections won;t work, I use a stadard size one that fits citron Xaras & Vauxhall Astras, I htink the diameter isa bout 55mm

Not the cheapest option though.

On my carb Elf I put it in the fuel feed line at the back of the engine bay, just before it entered the carb. That was one of these little glass items.

Go ask your MOT man for an online filter for the emissions machine

Far away from the engine bay. N°1 cause of car fires.
