Anyone used foamex board?
Thinking of using it for door cards as cheap and easy to shape but concerned if it will be strong enough for the door pull etc to be fixed to it.

Door pull screws to the inner skin. The cards are only for show.

It's pretty tough. I am using it to create a shelf behind my dash.

Use it more or less every day it goes brittle when cold and warps all over the place in direct sunlight. You would be better off with diebond.

Just to follow up on this.
Door cards delivered and fitted today.
They look awesome. The company I got then from cut them perfectly to my rather vague descriptions via email.
Having that little bit of flex help them to fit really nice and smooth.

Just hope they dont warp in the heat but considering its kept in the shade under cover for 13 days out of 14 and only then taken out for an hour I think it will be fine.

Out of curiosity, how did you attach the plastic clips that go into the metal door, into the Foamex?

I didn't. I just pop riveted the panel to the door. Couple round the outside, pull handle through the panel into the door and the window winder etc held it all nice and firm.

Made some arch extensions out of it once. Not the best option, but not a waste of time by any means.

It's pretty tough stuff. Not to be used for anything that may take a beating of be out to the elements but fine for door cards or interior items.

late to the party but my door cards and dash blanking cover are foamex, use it all the time at work so thought why not. As you say, does the job pretty well and it's nice and light.

Better late than never.

My door cards have turned out bloody well really and it's cheap too.

Will use again for similar jobs,
