mini van is 1981, its got the indicator storks with the wipers on the left, and got the factor steering wheel on it. I took the storks off to fix them, and when ive put them back, the 2 pins on the wheel dont reach the colour on the storks to cancel the indicators. Ive tried moving them up but they dont sit right. Are these the wrong storks for the van or is there some thing missing ?

 

I dont know if they cancelled before.

The collar on the Indicator switch is best aligned to the position as shown below, there's a 'marker' on it for when the wheels are in the straight ahead position. I've put some blue felt tip on it to make it a bit easier to see

thanks, if you look at the wheel and where the plastic part is you marked, they dont meet. I cant get the STALKS and the wheel to mate up. There is maybe 2-3mm gap

Is the column outer correctly aligned in the clamp? You can move this up and down a bit and may just have been fitted too low.

could well be! never thought of that and that would explain everything! thankyou ! will report back
