Good evening everyone!

I have been sitting on the internet for the past hour or so trying to figure out exactly what engine that I have. I know that it's not the stock engine of the car that i'm working on. When I bought my mini I got three engines with it and this one that i'm working on was in the best condition to start off from. Plus it's a 1275. But I don't know what car this one is coming from.

So here is the picture.

Resized_20180718_202022_2698_zpsty84spw6

I get it to be 12H379J H 00160, and then I suppose that it's from a 1275GT
If I look long enough I also get it to be 12H879J H 00160, and then i'm lost.  >_<

The "J" is something that i'm really unsure of what that stands for, when looking around i'we found that the "H" might stand for misc.

So is there any keen eyed and more experienced of you out there that could help me identify this?  O_O

Using the Guess-works tool, and if that says 879, then it's a Metro 1275 A+ I think

I wouldn't get too hung up on what it originally came from as for the most part, there were all the same, about the only differences between them was the pistons for different CRs and with an overhaul, you'd be changing these in any case.

Haha small world, I know there are some other mini owners here in town but have never met them. It was very active here awhile but now i'm not so sure. Now the problem is I haven't seen any anti smog valves laying around in all my boxes (made inventory yesterday). And since this is my first mini build I have no idea how the Swedish-model is supposed to look hehe.

i no nothing about hos the head is changed but it is the same as the US spec smog head.  i would put it on the shelf and forget about it. and go with a new head. it will be worth a bit for someone who wants one. but for Swedish specific info i would try the Swedish face book page https://www.facebook...41558182607302/ and https://minisevenclub.com/

And Swiss and Aust :proud:

You can plug the Air Injection Ports at the front of the head and otherwise, ignore them. Treat the head from here the same as you would any other 12G940 casting.
