Studying the wiring diagrams, thinking one of the purples is for the radio(not installed)

Purple comes from 3-4 fuse in the fuse block to the horn switch but all that works..

Maybe the red has something to do with the rear brake lights...

the other purple must be related to the dash lights.. somewhere..

Hi,

Unless its an additional wire fitted by someone it will follow the standard mini wire colours

Red is parking lights and dash lights.

Purple is permanent supply protected by a fuse

Cheers

If I remember correctly green with a purple trace will be the feed fo the brake lights from the switch.

There are two red/white wires. One feeds the instrument lighting and comes from fuse LF-6 (15A). It also feeds RH tail lamp and RH side lamp. This is from the 92 wiring diagram. The other red/white wire (per the A/C diagram) goes from the MEMS unit to the the condenser fan relay coil and compressor clutch relay. This wire provides earth/ground path to the relay coil circuits through the MEMS.

The red wire comes from the lighting switch and feeds LF6 (15A) and F7-8 (15A). One of the purple wires goes to the horn, dip switch and headlamp flash switch like you found. There is another purple wire coming from LF14 (15A) and feeds the driving lamp relay contacts. The third purple wire comes from F3-4 (25A) and feeds the brake system warning light.  The fourth purple wire comes from LF5 (15A) and feeds the auxiliary cooling fan relay contacts.
