It's not an MOT fail if your lights can't be turned on without the key in the ignition is it? Thinking about side lights particularly?
I've rewired my car over winter and the key now kills everything.

Warning buzzers are so irritating, I hate them on modern cars. Never left the minis lights on, always have a backwards glance in admiration when I park it anyway.
