I've trawled the internet for centre caps since buying my Mini back in April a few times, but they seem to be a total pain in the backside to find the correct ones! I've ordered a set I thought would be okay only to have to return them.

Anyway, today I decided to take a drive to Mini Spares North on the outskirts of York with a wheel to sort the issue. Unfortunately, they don't have any caps which fit my wheels ?.

Has anybody had similar issues finding something that will fit their Minilites?

A member of staff at Mini Spares said he thought the wheels were made by 'CT'. I can't find anything on the internet about them but has anyone any knowledge?

I've posted a picture to show the centre of the wheel. I measure the Gap at approx 70mm. Any help massively appreciated. I'm about out of ideas!

I don't think your wheels are Minilites as they don't have that raised boss in the centre.

Hi,

Aren't they the Mini Spares wheels, I read you went there, it looks like them on their site???

Did the original Rover wheels have the raised centre?

If not try john brown wheels see if they can help you out?

Cheers  :proud:

Here's what I was supplied with when I bought "genuine" Minilites. I don't have a raised center on my wheels and the cap is a bullet-type that fits from the back of the wheel. That said, these are the 10x6 wide offset so that might make some sort of difference?

I was given this link a while back to some generic flat caps that might work for your wheels. You would have to know what size you needed, but it sounded like whoever was making these had a range of sizes.

A friend of mine had some CT wheels without Center cap. I think we looked for years at every show we went to with no joy. In the end he brought a new set of wheels.

We even got told to make our own by one company.

Not new you want to here really

Thank you all for the responses.

I'm going to try a generic set from eBay as you mentioned Kombi as there is some which look like they will be very close!! Fingers crossed.

Failing that, I will start the hunt for a new set

Just checking, where did you take the 70mm measurement? I've been looking for some for ages, gave up.

The 70mm I measured is the diameter of the hole all in. The ridge the clips need to sit on are around 65mm but mine seem pretty unique!

I think the internal ridge on mine was either 59 or 61mm, something that didn't make much sense and which everyone I contacted suggested was non-standard. I've just got used to them not having centre caps.

My friend also has a set of the genuine 10x5 minilites and they have a push through cap like the 10x6 wheels above.

I'd also suggest going to a wheel repair shop or even a friendly wheel/tyre shop near you. You might be lucky and find something that fits.

I was looking for months to complete an original set for my Aussie made wheels and the wheel repair shop around the corner had tubs full of old caps and I managed to find a pair.
