Hello fellow Mini enthusiasts. My name is Tom, and I'm from Alberta, Canada. When I was 16 I bought a 1968 Mk2 automatic 1000, and now that Im 42 years old, I figured that I'd better get it back in working order and have some fun. My Mini has been sitting in my garage out of the elements for 17 years now so hopefully it's not in too bad of shape. I can't seem to find any hydrolastic displacers, or rebuild kits for the automatic transmission so I was thinking of swapping it over to dry suspension, 1380 engine and 5 speed box.

I've seen a few YouTube videos on some spring kits that replace the rubber cones, and they seem interesting. Has anybody used these? Anyway, thank you for letting me into this forum, and now I'll be scouring the pages for endless hours in hopes of regaining all the lost knowledge thats happened over the last few decades.
