I just found this forum. I have been looking for a classic mini for a while and finally found one. It is a 1967 Mk I. The body is all original, but the engine has been changed because the previous owner had the engine out for a rebuild and some ******* stole if right out of his driveway. But not to worry, he got 1275 block from a mini mechanic. It needed rebuild so they punched it out to a 1380. It goes pretty good! It has disc brakes up front upgraded suspension, and an alternator. They painted the engine Austin green and put the proper badges on the engine. The body needs a bit of paint as the original paint from the factory is still on it.

by the way my daily driver is a 2006 MINI S John Cooper Works with the factory aero kit and upgraded suspension with HK springs and bars and Koni shocks. It goes pretty good too!

Hi,

Welcome to the forum!

Its nice to see a MK1 in the USA that actually is a MK1 rather than something much newer that's been smuggled in as something older!

It should look fantastic with some tidying and new paint.

You've already got the stop and go sorted!

Cheers  :proud:
