Our Scottish water runs clear, it's generally considered as a soft water ?

Well I randomly checked the radiator today...had to add 0.5L into it... and i dont see any dripping underneath... im lost. MOT equivalent is in 2 weeks and will swap the whole rad setup once i pass - or if i pass....

Water antifreeze do i add? the green or the red? or is it blue? one?

If the OP (or one of their neighbours) has a dehumidifier at home, this will produce distilled water, free of calcium. I've used this in the past when I've had no coolant handy.

I found a wetspot under the rad... kinda dripping onto the subframe. didnt have time to check if it was a hose or a leaky rad... gonna look closer tomorrow!

That may well have been the cause of the overheating in the 1st place; hose / connection / or core

At least you have narrowed it down now
