Welcome to viewing Jasper so named because of registration He came to me from a dear lady who's partner passed a few years ago ex Leyland engineer of the old school he did the body panels and underside, mechanicals newly built mini speed 1380 not run in basically a nut up rebuild with a hi spec.

Leaving me the body to sort out paint and rebuild

decided a bare metal strip was the way to go.

Happy to see a really good body with just a fingernail size panel to let in on rear quarter

The door frames are good and only a little bit of rust Should I do a repair to skin or new skins, after looking back to what was done to Alice and how long it took to do, decided on new skins

heritage panels, far as i'm concerned is the only way.

Experiences with patent panels show there not worth the grief

skins off skins on

be into the paint soon

hi thanks for the compliment much appreciated, enjoy the ride

masked out ready for primer

DId not go right into shuts at top of doorway as jaspers paint was original and only messed about with in places.

Used a product called Sudoflex , seam sealed the tops of front wings and seams at front under headlights, my thoughts if water cant get it, cant really rust,

Inside the boot looked tatty had been covered in a sound deadening material stripped it off

Awful job foil backed black underseal type stuff, took a good couple of hours to clean

taped around the wheel arches as that looked ok

gave it a coat of paint.

Next stage please.
