Sorry for posting a load of topics recently but I'm about to have another big order of parts.

What would you recommend for each of these? The build is a turbo 1293. So far I've got an HIF44, A+ block, cylinder head off of Phil (eventually), pistons, rods and a GT1752 turbo.

I'm looking at around 120bhp and probably a max of 10psi.

Thank you in advance and thank you everyone that has helped and has been a part of the build so far, I really appreciate it!

Crankshaft

Camshaft

Inlet Manifold

Outlet Manifold

Intercooler

Oil Cooler

Lightened Flywheel

X pin diff

Clutch

Head studs

Cam followers

Push rods

Big end bearing bolts

Rockers

Water pump

Fuel pump

Oil pump

Gaskets

Cam chain

Rocker cover

Intercooler piping

Air filter

Pumps

I've got around £2k to play with

Standard crankshaft is fine. Metro turbo 6851 or what ever it is the better one would be good but not necessary.

Cam the phase 2 is a good bet. But any milder cam ideal. MG metro, Kent 500 (similar to mg metro), sw5 or a 266

Inlet manifold any after market alloy one is fine, but check it clears the manifold you are going to use as some clash! I'm using a metro turbo one and fusion fabs manifold.

Fuel pump I've just bought a Bosch copy of the metro turbo one from turbo Phil. Any high pressure fuel pump will do. If going into a round nose look for an mpi tank or spi (these limit the amount of boost you can run to 15psi IIRC but can be upgraded easily)

Intercooler get the biggest one you can fit. People use all sorts from various cars.

Oil pump you'll need an upgraded one there is a turbo pump. Look on turbominis prom because there was a bad batch going around so be careful. I did think this was resolved though.

Head studs, I've got the minispares 11 stud kit. 9 will do the job. Some people for the ARP head bolts.

Water pump get a high capacity one.

A duplex timing chain will do. You can get belt drives etc but not really needed.

Intercooler piping you can buy when you know what intercooler you have and where you are going to mount it. Most are made up of alloy bends and silicone hose.

Minispares x pin diff Ian up to the job. Don't think anyone has had Ann issue with them.

Standard rockers are all you need.

Standard push rods are fine.

Cam fillers if you get a cam kit it will have new followers in it.

Clutch/flywheel depends on if you want verto or pre verto. I use a minispares lightened verto. MED do nice ones to. And I use a RTS made using a 1275 and 998 spring I think. I bought it from john and andys metro van. You can get updated plates for these from minispares. A search on turbominis will bring up what people use. All been discussed before.

But genuine bearings and gaskets I'd suggest. I know some gaskets have different thicknesses depending on where they come from. So be aware when building your engine and checking clearances.

Air filter I bought a generic cone filter from eBay but am going to get a K&N or similar this time

Oil cooler may not be needed. Fit an oil temp gauge to see if you need one first. And if you do fit a thermostat to otherwise you will be cooling the oil from when you start the engine

Outlet manifold mine is fusion fabs one, need to take a little piece out the subframe and i use an adjustable engine steady to.

Best thing to do is search loads on turbominis forum. It has a great search function and is a wealth of information on there.

most places do them, again i got one from turbo phil. Force racing do them do. Saying that i did get one from ebay with orange poly bushes and it didnt go long enough!! This was on a 1098 that need the extra clearance for a HIF carb. Later cars had longer ones so the bottom of the carb would clear the bulkhead.

I'll have a look into that, cheers! I've just bought an sw5 cam so I'm after some rockers now. Also let me know if you're selling any spares that you think I might need.

A good cam though it is an SW5 wouldn't be my first choice for a turbo build.

Phil.

Yeah I don't rate a sw5 cam for a boosted set up. K500 or MG metro cam for me. Saying that, I'm on the supercharged side.
