Forgive my ignorance but this is in relation to my wife's car on which the engine ignition light (the amber one) has come on. It did this following a brief period stuck in traffic.
The car is an 07 plate 1.6 petrol - any ideas what would cause this to switch on? Yes, I know it could be a million and one things and doubtless I'll have to take it to my local garage to have the codes read - but I would like to try and eliminate any common causes first.
