The usual story with EV is jam tomorrow unless you have a Tesla budget

I also think they can't get rid of the classic cars, we all have grandfather rights.

Just like my paper driving licence I can drive any car or tractor with a trailer [or 2] and 7.5 ton wagons.

I think that with the fossil fuelled SUV the motor industry has reached it's low point - far too large, ugly, far too heavy and totally pointless before you even start on their environmental impact.

Once an acceptable price/range/recharge time has been achieved for EVs all manufacturers will concentrate on them and battery technology will come on in leaps and bounds - with the advance in robotics also contributing.

Although it will be a challenge to successfully and useably convert a Mini for some time I'm sure we'll be there before the end of petrol diesel car production.

Have to agree about large ugly and heavy...range rover being the ultimate expensive unreliable piles of crap.

But I will say it again...it's always jam tomorrow with EV tech

A bit like hydrogen cell cars and driverless impractical rubbish its expensive pie in the sky that fills columb inches in papers.

Yes they may do 20% of the market but I recon that's about the limit

There are manifold reasons why EV can't be done en-mass

I'm still hoping Sadiq Khan is out before that tax gains a foothold. I cant stand the bugger and what he's done to motoring in London.
