Left handed wheel brace (factory optional extra) is a hard one to find..

I had 1 of those but threw it away because Im right handed....
If you would of cut the socket of the end, rotate it 180 degree then weld it back on, you could of used it as a right hander ?

I never would've thought of using a preposition as a verb. O_O

Any part for a BAC M-30

Only 3 of the planned 30 vehicles were finished so in theory there could be 27 bonnet badges, 27 dashes etc out there somewhere.

Can't complain though. The ERA turbo was the better car.  :D

'Would' is a modal: the negative comes after the modal & before the verb form it modifies....

so it should be - 'I would never have'  & not   'I never would've'  :P

I'm rubbish at grammar & my spelling is awful.... but i do have good culinary skills -take a sprig of verb, chop it finely & sprinkle over the spam for extra flavour :-)

I saw a wanted post about a Janspeed rocker cover and after having a look on the internet, couldn't find a single one for sale or even one that had been for sale in the last few years.

So it got me wondering, what are some other very rare mini parts that may be worth looking out for?

Cheers,

Will

That would have been me! :D

There is a bit of a story and reason why.

The car was bought by my mum 12 years ago. She bought it after giving up smoking but sure it was just an excuse to buy another car - bless her.

She became quite poorly and decided that the best way forward would be to sell off all the cars. I made a joke about paying for it monthly and ended up with the car :)

The car itself is a mini lamm convertible - they made only 74 of these.
This later had a janspeed s spec conversion - fast road head, fast road cam, janspeed exhaust and twin fuel tanks. This is thought to be 1 of 2 with this spec.. in the world.

But alas.. some sneaky mofo somewhere along the line has nicked the rocker cover and the correct carbs. So I'm on a mission to get it back to its original condition.

Cheers dude!!

Believed to be twin 1 ΒΌ S.U. carburettors. But i'd imagine going to be quite expensive!

I just use an old imperial adjustable spanner and turn it over to make it left handed.

I got fed up with having to turn it over each time so I cut the jaws off and welded them back on left handed - works a treat!
Now I've read the whole thread I see I wasn't alone in this solution!

You could get some of the standard alloy ones and just get the four ribs machined off the centre section, then get Janspeed machined in to that ...would almost look identical to the real thing?

I thought that made it metric?

The two hardest to find parts I've come across are:

1) Rover Mini toolbox (chrome tool kit)

2) Mini 35 LE gear knob
