Evening All!

I have recently purchased myself a '69 1100 Mini Van.  She has matching numbers, and is 99% complete.  My intention is to complete a full bare metal restoration.

There are a few little differences with my van as I am located in Australia - I get the benefit of wind up windows!

Here are a few photos of how she arrived.

My intentions are to rebuild the 1100 but with a 7 port head and twin 40's.  I am not after massive power just strong low down torque and built proof internals.  Once complete this will be my daily drive / company promotion van - so need to be ultra reliable.

First i need to deal with the rust!

This sounds like a cool project. Love the 7 port and daily driver plans. It'll be a cool sleeper van. Especially if it stays with 10s and a classic paint colour.

We got the Aussie doors on SA vans too, although, I think that the steering wheel is uniquely Australian.

Yes I am learning that there are a number of little details about the Aussie minis which are unique.

Yes I will definitely keep the 10's and 100% going for original paint scheme.  I have started the rust removal of the rear end and will get some photos up loaded tomorrow.

It might be your browser settings. I can see the pictures on your build thread perfectly.

Nice van, I saw that for sale a few months ago!
Mini K van, has the 4 syncro remote box. You will need to get floor pans locally as we had a different ribbed section than the Uk floors. The front doors are the only other unique body parts.
Have fun with it!!!
