It was ill-conceived, the entire proposition relied on being able to sell oval racing to the British public. Clearly that was a long-shot.
Even Indy-car only now run 6 Oval tracks in their season.

Went last bank holiday there was drag racing and drifting on sad to see so many race tracks closing
