Yea I went with my boy yesterday. £20 online ticket and he was free. Seemed really quiet and as said, not many stands or cars. I camped the weekend a few years ago and was similar but Sunday was much busier. I imagine the poor weather forecast might have scared a few off today.

Just got home, racing was good and I guess the weather put many off. I have gone for the past 5 years , it seemed to work better as a single event in early summer, also as an observation, I think that msd are in danger of killing off the event as given the rapidly decreasing numbers of traders I imagine they are asking too much as an attendance fee, and to add insult to injury they are now charging to park, which is taking the piss given you can only get there by car !! .....hopefully Ryan air won't follow suit by charging us their steps to board their planes !!

I went yesterday and charging to park was only for the South Bank area?

Also strange the lack of traders on both days (unless weather forecast?) as this is from the BH website:-

FREE TRADE SPACE FOR MINI TRADERS AT THIS EVENT

"Many of the UK's best Mini and MINI specialists will be joining the Brands Hatch Mini Festival on 25/26 August 2018 (Bank Holiday weekend), which features a busy schedule of racing, huge vehicle displays, live music, stunt shows and family entertainment. Owners and fans of the world's most-loved little car will be able to browse and buy all manner of products."

Event organiser MSV is delighted to offer Mini-related traders a 5m pitch frontage (10m depth) trade site COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE at this event. For non-Mini traders the price is just £75 plus VAT for 5m frontage.

power is nothing without control.  give them as much development as the Migs have had then they should be a fair bit faster. BUT as they are limited to 10" wheels and Dunlop rubber their physical grip will be the same as the Migs.  so they will not be able to put the extra power down better than the Migs. they will not be able to corner faster as the grip is the same. so to sum up their only advantage will be on straights where the power will help. but then they will need to brake earlier. what they gain in one place they will lose in others. NOW the circuit will have a big effect. the circuit where the Migs are not on the limit of the grip but on the limit of the power the Libré cars will walk away. And Brands was the short circuit this weekend?

Video of the Bill Richards crash......

"During the first race for the MSVR All-Comers and the Fastest Mini in the World, this very scary accident occurred. The number 266 Mini driven by Lee Jones kept cutting out, which eventually lead to disaster as the number 26 Mini driven by Bill Richards clipped the number 266 car, sending him airborne; following this, the number 30 Lotus V6 Cup R driven by Christopher Griffin hit the back of the 266 car with a massive impact. When they all came to rest, the number 266 Mini caught fire, and Lee quickly broke through his window to escape. I am pretty sure none of the drivers sustained any serious injuries, mainly just cuts and bruises, however one of them was knocked out in the accident. Brands Hatch Mini Festival. Saturday 25th August 2018."

I was spectating at Paddock Bend on the Saturday and we saw a lot of incidents that day in both the Mini and MINI races!
