Looks really good, do you know if the shell needed bracing before removing the complete floor? I cant see any in the pics.

I'm looking to do the same with my Volcano 1997 Cooper soon, are you able\willing to share any costs to give a very ballpark idea that I can work to?

So things are slowly moving along. I have all of the wiring looms back and re-fitted. I am trying to keep most stuff original but decided to upgrade the switches and get some USB sockets fitted. Switch panel by David at WiredbyWilson. He also tested, repaired and re-wrapped all of the looms.

I got the gearbox back from Guessworks. I had my old box re-built and upgraded with a X-Pin Diff and changed the final drive to a 3.2.

I had the engine rebuilt at a local specialist (I supplied all of the parts).

Block bored +20

Bungs and cores removed and replaced (the smaller bungs were changed to threaded bungs)

Black faced

Main Centre Cap machine to accept MED strap

New Cam Bearings

Rods balanced

Polished crank journals

Swiftune SW5-07 Cam and Duplex Kit

Swiftune Die Cast Pistions

ARP Con rod and head bolts

Retrosport Timing Cover

Retrosport Thermostat Housing

MED ST1 Clutch Assembly

The only issue the engine builder had was that the pistons were not within the expected weight tolerance but Swiftune sent two replacements so that they were all within tolerance.

My only question is if this engine to gearbox bolt is correct i.e. should the bolt head and washer be above the block?

Good to see this coming together.  Yes that bolt head and washer should be just like that.  That Guessworks puller looks like it can handle anything.
