Thanks. Great stuff I was there! About this time I was working at the end of CAB1 on rectification as part of my apprenticeship.mthe guy in the white coat driving it was Albert Green, Superintendent of CAB1. I fitted a new subframe to 621 AOK. Just got a complete built up assembly and swapped the rotten one for a new one.
So AOK is a proper Trigger's broom!

Fascinating story, thanks! I also didn't know that about AOK. So what is actually still original on that first mini today?

When BMC bought it back it had a folding sunroof fitted in the original photos so it had to have a new roof panel fitted when they restored it back to standard.

Who knows what is original on AOK. Up until it was put in Gaydon Heritage there probably aren't any records.
I don't suppose I was the first apprentice roped in to do things like this nor the last.
Good story here about its origin, thanks to Mab01uk
