Is anyone doing the Tour of Cheshire on 29th September? This is the event delayed by bad weather from its original date in March.

Sadly not.... Car is still a bare shell awaiting time and effort! Might bring my 2 year old son 'Austin' over to spectate for a bit though if the weather is OK.

You will be welcome to join Cec Offley and me at our controls if you want to have some laughter.

I couldn't be there this time as I went to Barrie 'Whizzo' Williams' memorial event at Silverstone, together with a lot of other ECF people who normally marshal on the TofC.

We'll all be there next March for the next TofC, sadly without our 'Whizzo' to help things along.

Thanks for the pics MIJ I'd missed this thread, not been on the forum much lately.

We had a mixed day but eventually managed to get going in the afternoon.

I'll drop you a pm with my email if you have any more of the orange clubman.
Thanks

We did it, well maybe half of it sadly after taking the exhaust off early in the morning on the first Bolesworth test on one of the concrete sleeper road sesctions.  Broke both the centre and rear bobbin mounts so couldn't even refit the exhaust to last the day.  Decided to drive the 30 miles home on just the manifold (interseting) then managed to beg borrow and buy some new mounts, refit the exhaust and rejoin the rally for much needed experience at the second set of Chowley tests.  Well worth the effort as we really enjoyed the event and actually did ok, visiting all controls but not classified in the results as we'd retired.  Heavy duty mounts now fitted!
