Many thanks for posting that up, thoroughly enjoyed that over the past few evenings.

Rally is a great love of mine, though I feel in the past 30 years, it's run off the rails a bit from what it was, to me, the golden years were the 60's and 70's for rallying. It wasn't at the mind blowing professional (high dollar) levels of today and the cars were much more 'relatable' to what we all drive every day.

Hi,

Whilst I agree with your nostalgia the current focus RS seems heavily rally influenced with active power distribution and selectable driving modes for the 4wd system.

I consider myself very fortunate to have rallied through the 60's & 70's from club to international in everything from a Renault 750 4CV and an 850 Mini to a full-on 'works' Datsun 240Z and a Porsche 911 Carrera.

It was a truly fantastic time and we sure had a lot of fun.

Then along came historic rallying in around 1982, so I built the first of my historic Minis, a 1275 'S', followed by several more over the years.

As has been said, wonderful days!
