Hi
I'm a volunteer at Grampian Transport Museum in Alford, Aberdeenshire and I help with projects and events
Grampian Transport Museum (GTM) is the premier Transport focused museum north of the central belt and we have a road circuit with adjacent grandstand to help deliver our outdoor events programme.
I'm looking to recruit mini enthusiasts in the North of Scotland ( or further afield ) to help organise a suitable celebration of the 60th anniversary of the launch of the Mini in August 2019.
Whilst I no longer have a Mini, I owned a Minivan, Traveller and Mk1 Cooper in the 1970s - all were special to me in their own way so I have great empathy with the marque, as do many of our staff and fellow volunteers at GTM.
Please contact me at [email protected] or at [email protected] if you wish to be involved
We will start our event planning in November to ensure we deliver the best possible event - we know that the BMC mini has a strong following up here with some lovely examples in garages and collections - we will be hoping they can all appear.
Regards
Roddy Matheson
