    Starting My Mini Up

Hi,
I have myself a 1993 1.3spi Mini Cooper.
When I got the car, it was running with an issue that wouldn’t turn off the alarm, and a clutch that wouldn’t engage. Since that, I stripped the car, stripped the engine, and am now in the process of putting it back together.

My problem is getting her to start up. The engine is back in, fuel line and other auxiliaries are connected, it was turning over and we had power to the fuel pump etc.

However, another worker has managed to put the fuel lines into the injectors the wrong way round. I’ve had to remove the pipes and swap them over, as well as redoing the ones in the boot incase they’d come look at all, and now we are having issues of no power. Everything looks to be earthed, and connected, with no issues from what we can visually see, yet when I turn on the ignition we have nothing coming through?

Any help is appreciated, we have had a couple different relay boxes, bypass the inertia which worked wel, but since changing these pipes it’s all just died for some reason, battery is fine too.

Many thanks,
Zac

You could swap to twin HS4 or  single HIF44 carb and do away with the injection system ;D .

It is had to diagnose a problem with an SPI.

Check the fuel pump fuse, also the inertia switch and I'd also say to make sure the wiring at the starter is tight

When you say no power do you mean to the pump, or no power at all? If no power to the pump have you dislodged a wire in the boot? Easily done.
