I have been looking at a Mini which has 13x7 wheels with arches and although they look okay I would much prefer 12’ or 10’ Wheels. I understand at present it has 4 pot calipers and vented discs from the Metro fitted.
Would the best option be to change to Cooper s 7.5 brakes or are there different options available?

12" rims will fit the existing setup, if you go for 10" then you would need to change the discs as you suggested. If the arches have been cut for 13" it might look odd on 10" without some mods.

It did think about the 10' might be a bit odd. I wasn't 100% sure if 12' would fit with the 8.4 set-up and it would probably to better suited. thanks for the information.

If you can afford it, the very best thing would be 'S' 7.5" discs and 10" wheels.

With 4.5" x 10" wheels you don't need wheel arch extensions which is an added bonus.

Hi,

If it's been cut out to fit sportspack arches and you change it to 10" wheels you'll need new wings and a front panel for it not to look like a 4x4.

Ideally I would prefer 10 inch wheels, but I’ pretty sure the they have been cut to fit the 7x13. I think the best option would be to go for the 12 x 6 which would probably handled better than the 13’s have a better turning circle and less wear on the wheel bearings etc.

Hi,

If you're thinking about the width overloading the wheel bearings, it's actually the offset of the wheels that makes the most difference. The same offset wheels in 6&7" width would only have 1/2" more on the front face, the inner won't affect the bearings.

Cheers  :proud:
