Hi guys,

I'm wondering if people could give their opinions whether to paint top coat over stonechip or not? So far I've wirebrushed the underneath, treated the rust, painted on Rustbuster epoxy mastic 121. The stonechip I will be spraying on is Upol Gravi Guard, on top of the epoxy (Rattle cans as I havent the room for a spray gun). Is it worth painting top coat colour over the stonechip for extra protection? If so would rattle cans from say Halfords be ok?

This is not actually for a mini, but for my rx7, but there's alot of knowledgable people on this subject, on here! Also the actual car wont be getting resprayed nor is it an original or concourse build

Cheers, Will

You can even roller top coat over it on underside, finish is pretty good

You probably want it to dry properly before applying the colour coat.
