I just picked up a 1979 clubman and wanted to change it up a bit. I was curious if I could get away with 5x10 ET0 without having to put arches on.. I have drums all around as well. Thanks

I *think* youll have a mad amount of poke?

I have drums all round, with 4.5x10 +16 and i have like 1" of poke (albeit on a saloon)

If the datum offset is the standard as on a Cooper 'S' then a 5" rim will be fine.

By the way, the wheel arches are part of the standard bodyshell. It is the wheel-arch-extensions we are considering here.

I run both 4.5" and 5" alloy wheels on my 1964 'S' without arch extensions and with 165 section tyres it is fine.

I have 5 x 12 with 165 tyres on my GT which fill the wheel arches nicely without the need for arch extensions.

Wow, that looks nice.

Why does a Mini always look so much better without wheel-arch extensions? So much cleaner as a design maybe.

I have flat drums, 10x5 +16 wheels and 165 A008 tyres. The tread is under the standard body, but there is a bit of sidewall showing. If you were using zero offset wheels they'd be pushed out another 16mm
