Does anyone know what handbooks came with the 99 MPI and if any are available, even copies?

You mean like the books that came in the wallet showing you how to use things in the car?

There are two of them, like this:

Thanks for that, yes, the books that would have been issued with the car from new. I imagined that there would be one like the German one you point to on eBay plus perhaps one on the audio unit and the service booklet.

My car is a self built mongrel anyway and the MPI John Cooper LE write-off I used had no books, so I just wanted to build up a wallet out of interest.
Anyone know the Rover part numbers for them so I can keep an eye out on eBay?

Although I speak German reasonably well, I would prefer the English version!

Those were all available as PDFs from the Rover Rave CD at some point. I think some are posted in the sticky topic.

Many thanks folks for the info, especially the part numbers and pics, very helpful. I got the crashed Cooper LE in 2000 with 5000 miles on and it has all lived again for 10 years in the Clubman Estate shell, so there’s is obviously no rush. I’ll keep trawling the net but I’m 70 next year!

I have a 'saved search' on Ebay for 'MPI mini' and occasinally they come up on that feed.

If you are thinking of clearing your loft, I can look after them for you in case the mice get them, just until you have finished your restoration.

. But I will keep looking! Thanks again,

Hi,

That's a coincidence, I bought a Cooper Sport write off in a big plastic crate.

95% of that is now in my estate!

Cheers  :proud:

Yes, a strange coincidence indeed. It would be good to compare how we both did the job, pm me for discussion if you wish. Mine is outlined on my site:
