If you don't want the whole Stage 1 kit then just buy the exhaust and link pipe.

You can't use your original inlet as both manifolds are cast in one piece. They can be cut apart but it's very tricky and not satisfactory as you'll end up with a good exhaust manifold and a C**p inlet.

If P&L don't sell the orignal Minispares adapter they may sell the Playmini one which I think is called Magic Pipe.

If you wan't to save postage you could buy most of it locally and just the bits you have to from Minispares. Why not ask Minispares how much they'll charge for postage? I don't think I've ever paid more than £15 for next day, and I've ordered some pretty big stuff.

I agree that their website is rubbish though, hardly any of the catalogue is on there. I always phone them, it's easier (unless you get the useless old girl on the phone who knows nothing).

Look, silly, 2" is the diameter of the tailpipe, it's a 'STD Bore' (standard bore) connection, so it will fit your car.

Oh yeah, and this was your thread too!

Erm, you should be okay with that. You might even be okay with the 3", but you will still be loosing a little grunt even though it's only the tail pipe. The biggest tailpipe on an RC40 is 2 1/4", but that's for looks not best performance. The stage 1 kit uses the standard 1 3/4" RC40 and they did lots of work developing that.

If you don't mind loosing a few ponies at the top end and a bit of torque lower down, and you like the look of it then go for it.

I just ordered a standard neck to RC40 adaptor, with a 1.75" straight thru pipe, with a centre exit back box (2 1/4" round) :D

Only got single box instead of double, so i hope its not too loud.
