From the options given I would say the 7x13 is the better choice simply because Minis are worst with 12" wheels. The 13s will of course be heavier, harder to fit, so wide they'll probably destroy the diff in 4 seconds and the rear wheel bearings by next thursday but 12s make Minis handle so badly (by Mini standards) that the 13s are simply better. My Mini used to run 12s. Couldn't trust it in the wet whatever tyres it wore, but my GFs car runs 10s and it's just perfect all the time.

My mini handles really well on 12's. I would say go for 6x12's.

i would go for 6x12, i have been told that 7x13's aquaplane like mad! Also the offset is completley wrong on them, i have been advised to get 12x6's on mine but i want 13's so i am going for 13x6.

13x7 do look really good though

6 x 12's everytime

any 13's are fashion over function, tramlining, aquaplaning, wheel bearing destroying and over priced!

Remember the suspension was designed for 10" steelies!!!

Erm, they dont aquaplan, well mine dont? Must be driver talent lol

As 4 destorying the wheel bearings, ive only replaced the fronts once in a year and half! , and it only costs around 80 quid to get em both sorted + Parts..

Id go for 7x13s but i would say that as i have em  , they look much nicer and have a nice deep lip :D

You can get 6x12's with a deep lip though. I sometimes think 7x13's look too big on a mini if you haven't got a bodykit. If you have a bodykit then you have to have 7x13's. I still prefer 6x12's though, then again thats because it's the wheel size I am getting.

ive got 12's on my red mini and thehandling feels a bit wierd, seems as though there isnt enough rubber on the road - some 165's should help though.

My project car has some 13x7 starmags n although i havnt driven with them yet they look a lot more up to the job

Whereas on a road Mini running 10s, a set of Timkens should last twice as long as the car! 13s do eat bearings.

Aquaplaning is a lot more to do with tyre choice and suspension setup in my experience. I have found Pirrelli's to be rubbish in the wet and 'plane all over the shop, but other brands not so bad. It's personal choice I suppose, and which tyre suits your driving.

Still rather have 7x13s look so much nicer.
