Hello, I've recently brought a 1981 mini Clubman E they were only made in South Africa I believe and I think that its basically the 1275 GT with a different name.  There is virtually no information about in online, so any info will be good because I want to know if I can fit a RC40 exhaust on it and new wheels but I'm not sure what size is best.  This is my first mini and my second car so I'm very new to this world.

Thankyou

it is still a Mini and just about everything is the same. so yes an RC40 will fit. and subject to brake size (if discs) any Mini wheel will fit. arch may be needed and body work may require trimming as per any Mini.

Hi, Welcome to TMF :)

Yes, I've got a 1275 E and while info on original cars is limited there is some available.

Here's a good one: http://www.minipassi...75E 1980 SA.pdf

Although the pictures are specific to the 1980 1275 E (which had a different pattern interior, and two thick stripes as opposed to 1 thick and one thin stripe). The steering wheel was also different between the 1980 cars and the later cars. They were made in South Africa from 1980 to 1983 (early 84).

In terms of engine, suspension, gearbox and brakes, they all had the same specs.

I did a write-up on the differences in the engine bay too between models from different years (just a post from my Mini's thread).

Hope that helps :)
