The Moke is back from the sand blasters and before it goes to the paint and panel shop I have two replacement SAAS bucket seats to make fit. The studs on the sliders are 300mm apart at the front and 375mm front to back. It will be a close fit in the car, not much gap to put the seat belt stalks through. Has anyone done this mod as there will need to be a separate/new mounting points made for the rear studs of the sliders? Or is it feasible to move the rear studs forward a tad to meet a new mounting plate which would join the existing rear mounting holes.

I haven't fitted those particular SAAS seats to a Moke, however I have done so with similar and other seats too.

Most other seats, as you've found, have a longer squab (or base) than the original Moke Seats. There is probably more weight and loading on the mounts than may at first meet the eye, in particular, under the back rest of the seat.

For these reasons, I've always fitted a sturdy mount un the rear of the seats and with most, picking up the original front mount holes (or position) places the seat in a happy place in relation to the steering wheel, pedals and general height of the seat.

Looking forward to seeing the progress on you Moke as you restore it.
