[Emerson 76500]

Hi i'm a french man and i have a RHD mini with the problem .

When i road at quater of hours my car breackdown ,and arrive to return at home but with the engine at 1000round/ minute and it's impossible to accelerate ,and when i let sleep i go tomorrow the car start and drive perfect .

i change a lot of parts :

- complet system ecu

- engine loom

- all sensor on the engine except the camshaft sensor

- all parts of injector 

-new ignition

- new fuel filter

- new coil

- new plug and loom plug

And when the breakdown arrive my needle temperature of water falls at 0 even the water sensor is disconnect.

 

If you have a solution i'm listen or old diagnostic for this car if you have a link

So it's an intermittent high idle at start up? 1000 rpm is an ideal idle setting for an a series

I would hazard a guess that the main ECU earth point needs cleaning. It's on the bulkhead to the left of the brake servo.

I'd check the earth too as Wiggy said.

You can buy the diagnosis cable and USB to phone USB as required from Ebay or Amazon.

Here is the MEMS 1.3 AND 1.6 LEAD (EDIT : I believe the MPI is a different ECU plug.)

You then need the MEMS Diagnosis Application that you can get for free
