At the end of the day if you have the money and you want a Cooper to restore why not? You can enjoy the process of restoring it and putting it back on the road. It's only money at the end of the day, I'm guessing the new owner will do this right.

At the end of the day, let's hope the new owner is young enough to finish it before the end of their days.

If you drop dead, I'll take them on for you.
I'll only be 76 next week.

For some reason that's beyond me people are willing to pay the extra for a signature and a little plate with a number on it. It's still better value than the rusty S if you want the joys of Mini ownership.
I'm not sure it's even correctly advertised?
The Sport 5 was a 1997 model wasn't it? It had the 5-speed box as standard.
The S works came along in 1999, it had the Cooper conversion kit and a 5-speed box was an optional extra.
Paying 30 grand for either is getting carried away some, especially considering it's no longer factory standard.
Is Alex Moulton suspension something sought after? Didn't he do some work on the original suspension in the 50's and 60's?
