I didn't know that Duckhams had left!  I remember servicing my S-Type Jag with Duckhams and that was a modern 1999 S-Type not a 1960's one!

A mate of mine years ago worked in the Duckhams factory.

he said its recycled oil and goes to foam in crankcase andhas as much viscosity as candyfloss

 

had another who swore by it in his beezer

 

Who knows,  Eno's but that's for upset stomachs

Wouldn't use it years ago as it emulsified and wouldn't keep its pressure as well as Castrol XL (GTX wasn't much better)

Looks like the old company was bought out/sold, now operates from just outside Bradford.

There used to be a large oil recycling company around that area.

Duckhams, Castrol and Veedol were all under the BP-Umbrella until BP stopped this diversity many years ago. Duckhams and Veedol were abandoned and only Castrol remained as the lubrification brand under BP. Both labels were for sale for a period. The Veedol-label was bought by an Indian firm I think three or four years ago and since then it is back on the market operating from Hamburg. Obviously someone bought the Duckhams-label as well and so is back on the market. But both abondoned marques have nothing to do with the old manufactures.
