Is there a way to check to see what lift a rocker arm is?
I have some forged arms but nothing (p/n) to identify if they are 1.3, 1.5 to 1
Thanks

Regarding rocker arm ID.  I have a set that have 2a534 MS cast into them.  Does anyone have an idea where these are from?

Good idea here are the rockersattachicon.gif IMG_5925.JPG

If you fit offset rocker bushes to this type of rocker you should get about 1.25 ratio

Once upon a time, long long ago,  A fellow called Clive Trickey used to contribute to a Mag caller Car and Car Conversions.

It was at the end of March, 50 years ago that I went to a wedding in Winchester.   To replace Goodwood, the Thruxton motorcycle venue had just opened for cars, so on the Monday I went to have a look at it.

Salisbury was not far away, so I decided to look in at Janspeed.  I was nattering with Janos, when the aforementioned Clive came in  "What can I write about next month, Jan" he implored.

On the bench was an SCA head and there was lively chat about the possibility making an Overhead Cam Mini, but Clive questioned the valve lift so I suggested 'rocker ratios'.

Janos nudged me, winked, and proceeded to tell a convincing yarn about angling the valves and welding extension on the rockers.

As Clive walked out, pleased as punch, Janos took the Pirelli calendar off the wall and turned it over to April 1st.

Here is a photo of both types or rocker arms I have.

IMG_5969.jpg

The one on the left has the number 2A 534 MS, the rocker on the right has no markings, but as posted above they seem to be Cooper S..

Just curious about the one on the left, and where it is from.

It's a Mini Spares copy of the original Forged Cooper S item, only better than the original.
