i spent an hr today trying to drill out the steering column shear bolt so i could fit a drop bracket, i tried cutting a groove then tapping undone with no luck

its finally fitted it but what a hassle its been

angle grinder works better on the hardened bolts. just protect the glass.

i drilled the centre of the bolt and used a stud extractor
