Does your friend have a Mini MPi?

About 1100rpm on a cold start. Then about 800 - 900rpm when warm. Approximately.

A slightly weak battery or past their best spark plugs or HT leads could possibly make her turn over a bit more before starting.

But I don't think you actually have a problem as such.

Hi

my friend also have a mini MPI and also I checked the reader in acr4

when I ask the mechanical he told me to check the spark no.3 if its black and I removed and it was really black

I changed all the spark with NGK bpr6es and the lead is the and original from rover.

he told me if the black comes to spark no. 3 that's mean the ideal valve control not working fine or need to adjust the throttle pin.

I will check with my acr4 to read the rpm once the car start, also the throttle position is 5.0 is that normal ?

I believe mine says about 4 on start up, so that sounds right. The Idle Air Control Valve regulates the idle anyway.

There's nothing special about Spark Plug 3. If it looks the same as number 2, then it's probably fine.

If it starts, runs, and drives OK; then just enjoy.
