Renewing Auto Mounts Any Tips?

Going to change the bottom engine subframe mounts on a 1992 rover auto  1275cc ,  Will I get away with disconnecting all engine mounts,stabilisers, exhaust , and whatever else and then lifting engine slightly and swapping them in. 

 

Being an auto I think Its got a cable shifter , I dont want to damage or interfer with that as its working tremendously

There's nothing particularly special about replacing the auto mounts, the method you propose will be fine and you can leave the selector cable well alone.  Good luck!

Cheers, I know the manual ones can be fiddly getting the bolts out and getting a spanner on the nut but what fun would it be if it was too easy lol

You're not wrong there!  Remember the auto subframe is wider than the manual, so in theory you have more working space... but then so is the gearbox so 'horses for courses'!

a Fork can be useful.
