Any idea on a price please.1275 A+ Was running ok when I removed it approx 18 months ago out of my own car due to an oil leak, but no blue smoke out the exhaust and it's been dry stored since and turns over freely.I also put oil down the plug holes before replacing the plugs to keep it free moving.
It also has the head modified, was told a stage 4, but unsure to be honest but there are stampings on the head. See pics.
Thanks

morspeed head... so that's a good while ago...

From what I can see on the pictures, that's not going to be a straight drop in and go engine... some of the transfer case bolts are loose, it has a metro cable clutch arm fitted, it is missing the stabaliser bush on the back of the gearbox, it's missing a dizzy, which would have been specific to the engine if it has been upgraded. why is there a primary seal and clutch oil throw over the arm... All these things would make me think twice about spending any over and above the the cost of a core unit... £200-£300

The Morespeed head was fitted to this engine when rebuilt by the previous owner so I was told. I was not thinking a straight drop in,I was just stating how it last run.I would recommend a rebuild anyway due to oil that kept on coming out the split pin hole on the clutch side, hence the old seal there.
It has had the clutch removed and arm as you say plus the mini flywheel due to needing a clutch plus the mini starter to match the correct flywheel.I still have a metro flywheel and starter motor.
Some other little bits were needed off the 1275 to get the 1000 running including the electronic dizzy.

It's only for sale as I have sold my mini on now and do not have another.
Thanks
