My new project Mini Mayfair. Plans are to hopefully get it road worthy. Brought as a M.O.T failure, mostly rot related. Not entirely sure what road I want to go down but will need a lot of welding before I decide on looks.

First pics from add.

Started by removing soggy carpet and any other soggy bits of foam, carpet underlay etc. Everything wet got binned.

Some pics of rust.

Its not bad had some bad repairs that's made it rot worse. It will be slow going as I have my Mk2 Golf to get rolling finished.

Took 8 weeks to come to a end thankfully. I looked at a few replacements between 3-4k and never had much luck so decided to build one to my standards hence a project.

Today I cut the passenger a panel off and opened up the outer sill to see what I was working with mainly.
I'm hoping the doorstep is repairable and doesn't look to bad from the underside.

Have you got an inspiration for your Mk1 makeover? - I was aiming for a bit of the '60s Monte Carlo rally cars for mine.
