OK, discovered the leak. It's absolutely p**sing out of a brand new heater valve I fitted a week ago. Today was the car's first outingsince I did it. It's one of the inline heater valves, fixed directly to the hoses. The fluid is pouring out, in a thin stream. I'm pretty hacked off that a brand new part can be so defective. I'll be taking it back for a refund.

I replaced my inline valve with a standard plumbing 28mm inline valve. The one with a screwdriver slot on top. No problem now.
I'm very interested to know how that works. Can you control it from the cabin? Would you mind posting some photos? Thanks!

I believe the old VW Golf inline coolant heater valve works well and is cheap too.
