I'll start this off with:  Fit the rebuilt fire-breathing(in a good way) engine and experience some serious getup and go.

If it all works I'd love to  take it to either Italy for the Mille Miglia or France for Classic LeMans.

Happy Christmas all!

Well we have a fair amount to do.

Need to fit a sill, doorstep and rear quarter repair to the 1275 round nose, then refit the rear subframe, then finally fit a new head unit and headlight switch.

The estate needs a wheel bearing tightened and a grease of the nipples

Figure out how to get the Speeduino running the ignition...    and maybe, just maybe get it running some sort of EFI as well.

Need to replace a front wing and one rear door needs a repair panel.

I'm looking forward to collecting my newly acquired 1990 1275 Cooper and working on getting it back to the great condition it was in when I owned it in 2004.

It will be good to drive it again once all the work has been done which includes a re-paint..

I'm hoping I'll be able to get in it without putting me back out O_O  Not used it anywhere near enough lately due to back and foot problems (not serious) and have been using the camper as a daily because the bus like driving position is kinder to my aging body :shy:

The Wirral run in a couple of weeks should let me know.

Hi,

Hmm, get it on the road and do some mapping.

Then take it off the road strip it down and paint it. Then just put it back together!

Cheers  :proud:

Just finishing up a suspension revamp - Gaz adjustables, new cones, knuckle joints, tie rods, adjustable tie bars, adjustable lower arms, all new bushes and rear sub frame bushes and mountings.

In the new year hope to get the rust removed (not a lot, just a few bits and pieces), new headlining, possibly carpets, engine bay clean up and engine paint would be nice also.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year all!

Cheers

Simon

Use it... I often curse myself for not driving it enough.

Really must purchase some hi los and get rid of the copy sportspack arches. But the wife wants the kitchen done so they will have to wait (most probably for another year lol)

Make mine water tight. My windshield leaks like crazy and while the scuttle plate looks to be in good shape from the outside I'm sure it will be horrific once the wind comes out. I'm just going to have someone else do it for me so I'm not panicking.

Get it running. On the road would be a bonus. Time and money always being a factor. But hopefully see what we can do
