I know that this is going to sound a little unusual, but could someone supply me with the width, length, and height with the spring of a cylinder head?  The reason that I am asking is that I am going to be shipping some heads and I want to order boxes of the right size.  I don't currently have a mini or a head.

Thanks

Terry

Hi Terry .
Still waiting for parts to arrive to rebuild the head and engine. If your still looking for the measurements I can get them for you next week when I'm back working on the mini

It is this rubbish foreign coal,(looking at you pics), but sadly we no longer produce quality British smokeless fuel in this country.

Ah , does the head not look like an unleaded head to you?

Also meant to say I filled the head with petrol, came back the following day and found no leakage. Hopefully this means the valve seats are ok

I think I've found a replacement 1275 engine and I think I'm just going to swap the engine.
Is there anything you would recommend changing on the 1275 before fitting?

Ideally you want to see and hear it running, a test drive would be handy, along with a compression test before the engine is removed from the car.

Parts to fit would be clutch, water pump and timing chain.

Cheers for the reply.

Didn't think of the timing chain , fair play.
Have a clutch , pump and gaskets in my minispares basket.

If you get the head in and could take the measurements it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Terry
