The starter solenoid on my minis engine has been bodge fitted to the little inspection cover on the clutch housing, visually it looks a mess plus the brown wires from the loom are overstretched.
Where is the most common place for the solenoid to be mounted? Any idea on how long a lead I will need to go from the new solenoid position across to the starter motor? Going to my local factors tomorrow and hopefully get some time on the mini new years day ?

inner wing or the holes further forward on the transfer case or anywhere you want as long as it is earthed. inner wing was the standard place so see the length stated on Minispares website.
