This auction is for the 1963 Minivan used in the Yorkshire Television series HEARTBEAT.
It can often be seen in repeats of the TV series.

Being an ex-film/ TV car, it will have had many quick tart up jobs in its lifetime to keep it looking correct for continuity etc. It will also have had cameras and goodness knows what else strapped onto it with little regard for the paint or metalwork! The stuntman will have driven it badly and it will have been thrashed from cold then switched straight off... then this process repeated numerous times to get the right shot.

Having said that, it is a nice early one and everything is fixable on a Mini, right?! I'd love to add it to my collection and am sure it will find a caring home.

There were some early ones with smooth roofs reasonably rare, ive seen one or 2 builds on here before

Yes, I have a smooth roof van.

 

The point I was making is that the van on heartbeat has a ribbed roof but the van reputedly ex heartbeat for sale appears to have a smooth roof??

There was more than one, hearbeat went on for nearly 20 years. I remember a smooth roof in the early ones..
